Sponsorship

The GSSFBA Board of Directors requires that any troop requesting funds of $100 or more (for associations, the amount is $250 or more) work with the fund development department at the council.

Procedure for sponsorship agreements:

1. Obtain the 298x Sponsorship Agreement Form from the council resource book, the council office, or download 298x Sponsorship Agreement Form in PDF.
2. Complete the sponsorship agreement form.
3. If the type of sponsorship is financial and exceeds $100, contact your community development director (click here to find out who your community development director is) before securing the money to avoid duplication of request for funds.
4. Contact the fund development department at the council office (510)562-8470 if the sponsor requests an official acknowledgment for tax purposes.
5. Always send a copy of the sponsorship agreement form to the attention of the community services department at the council office.

6. Be sure to send a thank you letter to the sponsor and make an effort to include sponsors in some recognition events.
