Launch into Technology at NASA
Sunday, June 22 - Saturday, June 28, 2008
Open to Girls entering 9-12th grades in Fall 2008

Join us for an exciting summer residential program at NASA Ames. Choose to attend the Aeronautics Institute, Robotics Institute, or Astrobiology Institute! Explore your topic with other high school girls and get a taste of how things are done the NASA way! In the evenings, you will all be together to play games, do crafts projects, or just hang out with new friends!
Three Program Choices:
AERONAUTICS
Venture into the fascinating world of NASA and FAA aeronautics.
- Explore a working FAA air traffic control tower and interview the tower manager
- Perform your own experiments in one of NASA's renowned wind tunnels
- Explore NASA's premier flight simulators
- Investigate special orientation and flight physiology in the FAA Barany Chair

ROBOTICS
Explore NASA robotics to discover where robots are born, what makes them tick and who they grow up to be.
- Use your imagination and creativity to design, build and test robots for competition.
- Strategize with teammates
- Design the game and rules for the final competition
- Engage the world's coolest engineers and researchers
- Visit a NASA robotics lab
ASTROBIOLOGY
Investigate how life originated in our universe and how it has evolved.
- Is life possible on other planets and in other parts of our universe?
- Engage with astrobiologists and other scientists working on these questions.
- Learn about the technology used to explore space.
- Investigate your own questions.

Financial Aid
Financial is available to girls from Girl Scouts of Northern California. Please read the section titled "For all other Financial Aid requests including: Events, Membership Dues, Uniforms, Training etc:" on the following page (do not submit the "Summer Resident Camp" financial aid form):
