Make a Difference Day Food Drive
Each year on the fourth Saturday in October millions of Americans commit time and effort to provide direct service in their communities across the USA. Making a Difference in the lives of those in need of food and nutrition is this year’s theme for the annual Make a Difference Day! The Girl Scouts of Northern California will collect food in their communities from September 27, 2008 to Make a Difference Day, October 25, 2008. In each participating County, the Girl Scouts will gather on Make a Difference Day to celebrate their efforts, receive awards, tally the pounds of food collected, and to deliver the food to the local food bank. Upon registration, troops or individuals will be provided with information about collection in their area. Let’s show how the Girls Scouts care for our community members by collecting the most food ever!Volunteer Positions Needed: Program Aides, Adult Volunteers
